New York, NY – Many of the nations top emcees came together this weekend, putting aside all differences, banding together for one common cause, a song to further the murder of New York City mayor, Rudy Guliani.
Among the artists to contribute to the record, entitled “We Shot Rudy”, are Pharoahe Monch, Pacewon, M.O.P., Screwball, Talib Kweli, The Beastie Boys, Ras Kass, and Zach De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine.
Proceeds from sales of the single will go to the Kill Rudy Foundation, founded earlier this year by Ras Kass. According to Ras, The foundation’s aim is to educate people about the political terrorism brought on by Mayor Guliani, that will hopefully result in persuading some crazy-ass motherfucker to get a gun and shoot his ass.
“We’re hoping that we make a difference with this single”, said contributing rapper, Pharoahe Monch. “The whole posistion that Guiliani is in, with him being alive and all… It’s completely unfair, and he really needs to be freed of that. Hopefully, we will have made a significant enough impact on the public, that he will have a hole in head by the beginning of the new millenium.”
The single, “Kill Rudy”, will be in stores in early November.
