“It was supposed to be something special between the two of us”, says former Menudo member.

Miami, FL – Latin pop sensation, Ricky Martin shocked the music industry today, when he admitted that he was the lyrical genius behind Sisqo’s number one hit, “The Thong Song”.

“It started out as something I sang to Sisqo one night, when we were in a hotel room,” said Ricky, “We were sharing a bottle of White Zin, and he was standing by the window, and… well, the way the moonlight was reflecting his platinum hair… it just inspired me to sing ‘Let me see your thong’ to him,” Ricky confessed.

While Ricky intended those lines to be something shared only between the two of them, Sisqo took them and created a platinum selling hit single out of it, of which Ricky is not happy.

“Not only did he use my lines from ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’, but he also took the lines I sung to him during a special moment between the two of us…. and I’m not happy about it,” said a flustered Ricky. “He made a hit out of my ideas! Let it be known that I am the creative force behind Sisqo…. in more ways the one,” he added.

While Ricky’s confession shed some light as to why Sisqo used lines from “Livin’ La Vida Loca” in his song, Sisqo has his own version of the story.

“Man, the only part that Ricky Martin wrote of that song, is the ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ part. I wrote the ‘thong-th-thong-thong-thong’ and the ‘baby shake your butt-butt’ parts all by myself,” said Sisqo. “I know that something with such mind-numbing poetic brilliance as ‘Thong Song’ might seem like there was a ghost writer, but no, that was all me.”

At this point, Ricky has not filed a lawsuit against Sisqo, but demands his silver leather pants back.

Not sure about his role in RNB, but previous Latino style was super for me:)
