Ski Beats Presents…..The Roc-A-Blok Records backpack. We guess this doubles as our attempt at an April Fool’s Joke, as well as this week’s entry in our For Promotional Use Only section, where we spotlight pieces of hip-hop memorabilia. Yeah, that Ski Beatz exclusive we’ve been hyping up over the last few weeks is a picture of a backpack.

Long before the post-pubescent blog-scene got gassed on 24 Hr. Karate School, Ski had a long history in hip-hop, starting off as a member of both The Bizzy Boyz and Original Flavor in the late 80′s. He later formed a label with Dame Dash called Roc-A-Bloc Records, which was a loose-knit sister company to Roc-A-Fella Records. The short-lived label saw success with Sporty Thieves in 1998, with their answer record to TLC’s “No Scrubs” called “Cheapskate”, as well as with the underground hit “I Declare War” by Pacewon. Around that time, these backpacks were handed out to key deejays throughout the industry and can still be seen every time Pizzo goes to the gym. See, not just an April Fool’s joke, now you can walk around and act like you know…
