“Are We There Yet?” Sitcom to Appear on TBS/Further Diminish Ice Cube’s Credibility
The Turner Broadcasting System, better known as TBS, will debut the new sitcom “Are We There Yet”. The show is based on Ice Cube’s 2005 embarassment box office comedy of the same name. TBS and Ice Cube’s company; Cube Vision (which will produce the show) have signed a 10 episode deal with an option for TBS to pick up an additional 90 episodes. Surprisingly, the film actually grossed over $82 million at the box office. Ice Cube will have a recurring role in the show, but will not play the lead character (Nick) as he did in the movie. No word yet on if the show will feature cameos from Dub-C or Sir Jinx.
Ice Cube commented: “People of all ages loved the movies, so I am very excited to work on the series. We are dedicated to creating the new template for family comedy.”
“Are We There Yet?” is scheduled to debut in June on TBS. Check it out.Or not.
