Say what you will about Fat Joe, but he has always delivered when teaming with DJ Premier. The collabos have been happening since his first album, and this one might be their best yet. Preem delivers a somber beat as Joe reminisces over Guru and his career thus far.

LISTEN: Fat Joe – “I’m Gone” (MP3)
True. But then again, Premier makes everybody sound good.
true dat
Not a really a Joe fan but I gotta give it up to this guy. It’s not like he got signed because of his looks. And most people in his position would of just gave up after Pun died. He became even bigger start than Pun.
Does everybody forget Joe was in DITC long before he teamed with the terror squad and pun?
Joe gets heat cause of some random beefs with some random rappers along the way, meanwhile joe can spit circles around most cats still.
He has missed some steps along the way, clearly, but you dont see Joe starving himself for 9 weeks grasping on to what little fame he has left… he just does what he always did. respect to fat joe.
This is unbelievable good…I hope for Joey that he sells more copies of The Darkside than of his last album!
