According to NBC New York, the prolific film director Spike Lee will be directing a live webcast concert for John Legend and The Roots on September 23rd in NYC.
This will be the second installment of a American Express-sponsored concert series called “Unstaged”. The first show featured Arcade Fire performing, and was directed by “12 Monkies” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” director Terry Gilliam.
Spike Lee, who has been getting his documentary directing on as of late told NBC: “I like doing stuff live,” Lee said. “Especially with someone like Kobe. I can’t stop the game. You got to be ready for almost anything. We can’t stop this concert, either. Going to have to go with the flow.”
