Rising pop vocalist Bruno Mars was arrested this weekend in Las Vegas, on charges of possession of a controlled substance. The Associated Press reports that a bathroom attendant at the Hard Rock Hotel noticed Mars (real name Peter Hernandez) was taking a long time in the stall with a “white powder substance”, who then alerted security. Security asked Mars to hand over any narcotics he had, to which Mars replied “Can I speak to you honestly, sir?” and saying that he acted foolishly and had never used drugs before, according to the arrest report. The case is under review and formal charges have not been formed yet, but Mars is due in court on November 18th.
