Da Beatminerz give us their top 5 producers.
honestly, these producer lists just show how dominant NY rap was back in the day. I mean your talking about greatest producers ever and you don’t mention Organized Noize? you mention Dr. Dre like an afterthought when he changed the sound of hip-hop twice. I wish DJ Quik would get more love on these lists. I mean he doesn’t have the hits to back it up, but go listen to Rhythm-a-lism, Quik is the Name, Trauma, Safe n’ Sound. This guy is just so abouve and beoynd almost every other producer.
I think Eric Sermon deserves more love on these lists too. So here’s mine, no order
1. Dr. Dre
2. Organized Noize
3. DJ Premier/DJ Quik
4. Marley Marl
5. Eric Sermon
mmmmm nice lists, heres mine, no order
