The Gym Class Heroes frontman goes right for it with his new single “We’ll Be Alright”, looking to create a kind of “I Gotta Feeling” type anthem. Is this a potentially huge track that will be played out at sports arenas over the next year, or a complete flop?

If considered a ‘hip-hop’ song, it is a disaster, just repulsively bad. But, if kept in the lane occupied by the Gym Class Heroes, it’s fine for that genre, and what basically we can expect from a group like GCH. Which is confusing, considering it’s a Travie solo track. I seem to recall the point of his signing a solo deal was to make music that he normally wouldn’t while a part of that dynamic, and this tells me different. As much as his solo tanked, could label boss T-Pain be prodding McCoy into acts of desperation like this track?

Hopefully it’s a flop. It’s just so lazy. Doesn’t seem like he’s even into it during his performance either.

You can’t really keep it real on Ellen
