“By The Time I Got To Arizona” is an art release unlike anything before it. Focused on ill-conceived immigration policies in Arizona that perpetuate racial profiling, the artwork is an unprecedented foray into the medium of fine art for Chuck D working in collaboration with art collective SceneFour.

Notable is the origin of many of the images featured within the creation. “By The Time I Got To Arizona” is a Visual Mash-Up. To execute much of the work, a variety of American masterpieces were sampled, reconfigured and intertwined with contemporary images from Guantanamo, Mexico, and Arizona in a stealth manner.

The result is a 60″ x 33″ creation of which 300 drafts all numbered and signed by Chuck D are available worldwide.

Chuck needs to worry about his own peoples violent ways before he crosses into illegal immigration. Yeah shame on Arizona for doing the job the federal government is supposed to do. Stick to hip hop and issues you fully comprehend Chucky. Probably don’t have as much of an illegal immigration problem on the east coast as they do on the southern border.

I wouldn’t be that harsh on Chuck D but I do agree that illegal immigration is something that needs to be addressed. I have lived in Arizona for my whole life and seeing the downfalls of illegal immigration and nothing done about it really is a big let down. I understand why they want to come to America but please do it legally and do not feed off of the same broken system that struggling American citizens have the right to use.

“His own people’s violent ways?” Kind of a suspect first line there …

Dustin, I don’t know you, but your rant is pretty racist. I think you might be missing the point of rap music.
