DJ Muggs from iconic hip-hop outfit Cypress Hill has released a dub remix of the classic track “Rock Superstar”. DJ Muggs is currently gearing up for the release of his new solo album Bass For Your Face later this year.

“This mix is something to whomp to rather than to rock to. Just don’t hurt your neck,” commented DJ Muggs.

DJ Muggs will be appearing on the Paid Dues Festival on April 2nd, 2011 in San Bernardino, CA alongside with Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, Bun B and more.

Wow that is bad! I never really liked the original version of this song but now compared to this it is great!

  • DJ Muggs has really embraced the whole Dub-Step movment, even going as far as relesing an album. Its not everyones cup of tea, I am not a fan, but Muggs always comes correct no matter what he does.

Way to try to capitalize on a trend. Muggs needs to go back to some gritty funky sample-based beats, but we know that won’t happen with any of the old school producers who were talented in that style, but not so much in others.

What a steamer!!! Very disappointed in DJ Muggs for making this craptacular beat! Did you even try to listen to that Rebel INS dub step remix album? Straight garbage! I don’t care what anyone says this so-called music called dub step is corn on the cob! Hella lame!
