Ma Dukes, aka Maureen Yancey speaks on the next J. Dilla project, The Rebirth Of Detroit. The new album will be produced by J. Dilla, with previously unreleased beats. It will focus on all Detroit artists, although no specific names are mentioned. Hmm, how about an Eminem cut? Someone start a petition.

why on earth would I want an Eminem verse on a Dilla beat? There are som many other dope Detroit emcees that would fit his productions so much better (Royce, Elzhi, Big Tone, Guilty Simpson, Finale, Phat Kat, Black Milk, Fat Ray etc).

Em should stick to his pop producers

This is gonna be a crazy album if they get all those dope Detroit emcee’s to spit on Dilla’s ish. I wouldn’t mind hearing Em on some Dilla either. Maybe it’ll bring him back to his Infinite days.

I actually wouldn’t mind hearing Em on this either. Let’s get that whiny slim shady ’96 voice going as well and magic might happen.

  • DDEVIL says:

Em cant be on this unless he comes with some infinte type shit.

  • Daoud says:

Dilla = More D than 12 Eminems, no need for him. Sounds like a very interesting project. Look at how proud Ma Dukes looks!
