Full circle? Noah “40″ Shebib was responsible for the Sade-esque beats on Thank Me Later, now he’s producing a remix for her Ultimate Collection LP. The rumor was that the Jay-Z verse here marks her first collaboration. Unless she re-recorded her vocals here with Jay-Z, that honor goes the Guru for the remix of “King of Sorrow”. I love Sade music and have always enjoyed Jay-Z (more so his music pre-retirement) but this remix isn’t that exciting to me. It’s noy bad but nothing special…

I agree with Dayz, I was expecting much more on this track, the production didn’t suite Sade, it’s a decent track but not what i expected.

  • KC says:

    Copy that.
It does make me want to cop tickets to the Sade/John Legend show, though.

Agree with all. First impressions are that it seems really forgettable. I’ll definitely give it a chance to grow on me, but it’s not as impressive as I expected from these two collabing.

  • Parisiano says:

I was actually really looking forward when I heard that these 2 will be doing a collab.. its too bad the sound didnt really come out right although I still felt the jay-z part.. the sound was just off.. didnt fit both artists right
