M.F. Doom “Operation: Doomsday” 4LP Vinyl Tin

This looks pretty appetizing. From StonesThrow.Com:
Release date: June 21, 2011.
Pre-orders at Stones Throw will ship the second week of June, 2011.
MF DOOM’s debut album OPERATION: DOOMSDAY was originally released in 1999. It has seen at least two different versions on different labels, gone in and out of print, bootlegged, and even released once with a cheap scan of the original cover. This is the first complete & remastered version of OPERATION: DOOMSDAY, containing the original album, alternate versions, b-sides and instrumentals – 42 tracks total – with all new artwork.
Following the CD/Lunchbox release and digital release, we held off announcing the vinyl until we were able to absolutely confirm a release date: June 21, 2011. This is a release of Metalface Records. Artwork by Jason Jagel, art direction by Jeff Jank.
Vinyl Box Set Contains:
4 RECORDS: The album, the instrumentals, b-sides, alternate versions. Tin box with four records protected by paper dividers and cushioned inner box, as seen in the photos below.
LYRIC BOOK: In large 7×7-inch format, 32 pages.
CARDS: The 10 Doomsday MC card set.
The weight is a hefty 3.5 lbs.

This should be a lesson in how to rip off your fans without releasing any new material
I have two copies of Operation: Doomsday on vinyl already, and I’m happily buying this shit. I’ll reward creativity everytime, and that’s some creative shit, old material or not.
Gotta agree with Skinz that’s some creative looking ish, and it’ll always look dope in your collection!
GOT THE CD VERSION, ISH IS NIIIIICE.
Does this box set come with a personal apology letter to his fans for sending doomposter to his shows?
I got the CD of this…and this is the best reissue I have ever bought. The instrumentals, the rare and lost tracks, the alternates…plus the remastering…all beautiful. I don’t know how anybody can knock this. The last reissue from Traffic…you could call that a ‘rip off’ , but even with that, it was nice just to see this back in print again and not pay $50 for it on ebay. I got this at a local store for $19.99 and I have no complaints, and that is after buying the traffic reissue.
Definitely a cool collectible but M.F. Doom wins hands down for the most repackaging of old material ever!
Is there any actual “new” material on this?
Sounds like material that has seen the light of day in some incarnation… New artwork but no new music…
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
That sort of sucks… he used to be the hardest working man in the music biz
Is it just me or does the whole Evil Villan persona go over peoples heads or I could just be making shit up in my own mind but I think “ripping people off” is all part of the DOOM charecter. The fake shows, the re-packaged albums, etc. Sounds straight out of the old 70′s and 80′s superhero cartoons.
@Normont, maybe it’s the trees but I think you might be on to something… Hmm???
