We can tell you for sure there are about 5 rappers for sure that would not be where they are at now…..Any guesses?
I can’t even imagine the game with big and pac in it this far along
Yea I wonder sometimes how things would be… Would they still be the hottests artists out (ala Jay-Z) or would they peter out and crash and burn??? Would they still be respected as much or would the kids be calling them old-ass rappers??? I always thought and hoped Biggie would have ditched Puff and started making more records with cats like Premier and Pete Rock, go more the Hip Hop route not the Club Hop/Hip Hop crap Puff was trying to make him do… One can wonder… Hmmm…
Big talked about getting of Puff’s label and doing the commission with Jay-z and charlie baltimore. He had a 6 album contract so his plan was to do “born again” as a triple disc and finish things quickly with bad boy. Too bad that didn’t happen… as to Tupac… not sure which way that guy was heading.
If you look at biggie’s last idea.. brooklyn mint clothing line, he created a short commercial track for it and it wasn’t good
Tu Pac was also attempting to break away from Death Row and start his on label as well. The Mackeveli sessions (with Boot Camp Click and Greg Nice) were his template for want he wanted to achieve.
