Wu-Tang – “225 Rounds” (feat. U-God, Cappadonna, Bronze Nazareth, RZA)
This is fire… I’m definitely getting this one
Wow one of the hottest U-God verses I’ve heard in years! This is shaping up to be a really hot Wu album!
Its starting to look as if RZA might be the weak link
I’ve thought RZA was the weak link for a minute… I mean he revolutionized the soundscape of Hip Hop in the 90′s but I think he got too famous and started hangin’ out with cats like Quentin Tarentino and hob nobbing with superstars and got on this whole epic/movie soundtrack sound… He lost his roots as far as his signature sound is concerned… Go back to the crusty samples, dirty drums and kung-fu samples and the world will be hapy! He shoud really think this through looking at the warm reception OBFQL2 got with all these other producers mimicing his sound and it was a success!
The questions is really he still can pull it off? It’s been a long… long time since he put out anything worth listening to. The last decade or so he has disappointed more than anything
