Erykah Badu has showcased her talents behind the ones and twos in various cities across the U.S. under the moniker “DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown,” and now she is gearing up to release her first ever mixtape. Badu announced during the Los Angeles Film Festival that the mixtape will be released this month. The multi-talented songstress did her own producing and mixing for the dance themed project, and she boasts that the project will “melt any DJ’s face off.” Badu launched this new endeavor by deejaying at the Key Club in Los Angeles for the Black Girls Rock and Soul Tour.

Following the mixtape’s release, Badu will headline this year’s Rock the Bells music festival. She will perform her entire debut album, Baduizm.
