I agree it’s a fine line. I rather see mc’s pay homage w/out use of another mc’s verbatim lyrics. The artform is regurgitated enough. I hate to see it eat it’s self.(hip hop) I once heard De la pay homage to Nice & Smooth, Chamillionaire did the same for nearly every H town artist, Dana Dane to Slick Rick ect ect….
