jack in the box says: Again, not bad, but these are suffering from the live hip hop syndrome: something just doesn’t sound right.
When I first seen the track… I thought.. what the fuck is a baby pun…. lol
It sounds allright but I’m not feeling the mixing that was done on these. You can’t mix live sound with hip hop vocals in the same way as you would with a regular beat
Dayz says: @TomL ummm… Have you heard any song recorded by The Roots? Live instruments and emcees go together awesomely if done right… Unfortunately I agree with the both of you something is off here… Definitely disappointed about this as I am looking forward to this album.
@Dayz The roots have a completely different way of mixing their tracks and it works as they understand that live instruments need more room to breathe.
Whoever mixed Cormega’s track is not grasping the concept.
