jack in the box says: Primo’s drums on this are pretty stiff, the raps are cool tho.
Skins says: It just doesn’t feel like Nas is trying anymore, and the beat is lazy. Maybe I automatically expect too much from these dudes.
Also, didn’t a project almost exactly like this come out years ago, with classical music being sampled/replayed and rapped over by known MCs. I remember an amazing song from Redman (“Syrinx”) coming from it, but don’t remember anything else….
