HHS 2011 Year-In-Review: Rap’s 10 Best Viral Videos

Earlier in the week, we chose our favorite music videos of the year, now here are our favorite viral videos in hip-hop for 2011.

10. Gangrene “Thug Fail” Promo – This was originally uploaded to YouTube in it’s original form, but Alchemist and Oh No took hold of it and made it into a brilliant promo for their 2012 LP. This is the effect of rap music on America.

9. Raekwon Quoted At Illinois Budget Meeting – “Thank you for sharing.”

8. Kanye West Falls On Stage – It happens to the best of them, but is all the more poetic when it happens to Yeezy.

7. Odd Future Disses Billboard At Billboard Showcase – Hahaha, what a dick.

6. Sean Price Smacks Fire Out Of Fan – It was just a natural reaction, Sean later explained.

5. Ghostface Berates Sound and Lighting Techs @ Rock The Bells – This one just gets funnier and funnier as it progresses.

4. Exile “4TRK Mind” Promo – This gives some insight into the album cover.

3. Tupac Cat – Everyone else was busy trying to write raps to MMG’s “Tupac Back” instrumental, this cat lived it.

2. Snoop Dogg Meets The Largest Turnip Grower - The chemistry is what makes this one so good.

1. BET Shady 2.0 Cypher – DJ Premier on the decks, with Eminem, Slaughterhouse, and Yelawolf rhyming over the “Tried By 12″ instrumental? Sounds like an easy win – and it was – as each member of the crew attempted to outdo each other, even spawning a trending topic on Twitter with Royce’s “Hi Rihanna” line. Classic on all fronts.
