In a candid interview in Los Angeles with Cabbie Richards, hip hop artist Common reveals how he and Drake squashed their beef before the 2012 Grammy Awards. They met face to face and had an amicable resolution. Common also denies rumours that his beef with Drake eminated from Drake’s alleged relationship with tennis star Serena Williams. Conversation took place at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood on Feb. 20, 2012.
What’s beef??? Not this fake ass bullsh!t!!! Sorry but Common is too famous for some real “beef”… This was some manufactured crap to sell records and get press releases! If you think other wise you are a sheep! Whack on all levels these two pretty boys need to sit the f#$k down! I am a fan of Common don’t get it twist but this was some dumb sh!t to begin with…
The bad part of all this is that Common didn’t acknowledge that Drake is a legit frontin bitchboy with the who “catch a body” mobster image.
I mean, say what you want about the beef, but it’s true.
This beef was absolutely pathetic. Drake is a ridiculously easy target and Com bitched out.
I mean: I wouldn’t be surprised one iota if it was revealed that PR people dreamed this up for Common and/or Drake. YAWN.
I think Com was sincere in his anger on ‘Sweet’ but shamelessly waiting until his promo push for the album to stop denying it was about Drake and then NOT swinging at that softball after the Stay Schemin verse (the more I listen the more weak I think Com’s follow up diss to that was) is awful, and almost gives Drake the win by disqualification. If he wasn’t going to straight dismantle Drake, he shouldn’t have even bothered. Sure, I’d rather they have a peaceful resolution like they have, it is just entertainment after all, but for christs sake, actually make it interesting first. Will always like Com, but lost a little respect on this one.
