I couldn’t get into Curren$y either for a long time. After actually listening to “Pilot Talk” though I was won over by the dope Ski Beatz production. Eventually Curren$y grew on me as an emcee too, he’s not very technical most of the time, but he’s pretty clever and his lazy vocal style mixed with his very southern voice becomes endearing after a while. I think his beat selection is probably his biggest attribute though. He puts out a shit ton of music so the quality varies, but I’m always at least interested in checking it.
