Q-Tip is the latest artist to sign with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, in a move that seems like a perfect fit. He will release his next solo LP, The Last Zulu, in 2012 via the label. Q-Tip had this to say about the signing:

I’m excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label. I’m humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I’m excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting edge music I can.”

@Da Commanda exactly! It’s like they lost their confidence in themselves or something!?! Are they getting their heads full of this nonsense Hip Pop, fake thug, hipster, techno dubstep bullsh!t and believe their fans left!?! Us fans of these guys never went anywhere and we still go to shows and buy LPs so they don’t need the young’ns help! I still can’t believe that crap Andre 3000 said:

“Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen”

This mentality is so disturbing! Come on living legends keep doing you and don’t fall victim to the media hype!!!
