Dayz says: These guys been dope. First heard them buy stumbling on their first LP 2012: The New Beginning back in 2010. They are really creative and have a great sound. I find their whole cloak look, dark image, naked dolls and stuff kind of off putting so I rather let the music stand for itself. They are much better heard than seen.
Skins says: I completely agree, it’s unnecessary gimmickry in many ways, but as long as the finished product is dope we good. I hadn’t heard of them before Lone Sharks, but have gone back through their whole catalog since and am very glad I did.
Model Citizen says: @Dayz and Skins, I don’t find their dark image off putting at all, it adds to the whole package for me. Nobody has made a cape look that fly since George Costanza’s lawyer rocked one. But yeah, in retrospect “Lone Sharks” was the best record besides “Dr. Lecter” last year. Nothing from 2011 has received more repeat spins from me.
