On Tuesday, Kool Keith will release Love & Danger, the 13th album of his illustriously eccentric career. Already, Kool Keith has released a handful of singles from the album, and now, with a string of European show dates wrapping up, and new video planned to drop on release date, Keith is releasing a new non-album single, “Jedi Supreme.”

The track, which is a collaboration with Big Sche Eastwood (also known as Mr. Sche) and features scratches by Junkaz Lou, both of whom show up on Love & Danger, is also produced by Mr. Sche, who provides Keith with a spacey, orchestral track. For his part, Keith doesn’t disappoint, delivering a rangy, imagery-filled verse, rapping, “No one in space wants to argue with the Nubian Casablanca…They say I’m on that Formica/ I know what you like/ Women with space suits on/ I’m commanding them what to do with a captain’s uniform on.”

I love Keith. Have nearly all his projects. Not feeling the beats on this new album though. I hope this won’t be his last album.
