@Dayz, that’s disappointing to hear. Like I said, it sounded pretty good to me based on the snippets but I guess I’ll have to check the whole thing for my self. I hope I disagree with you.

Like I said I only listened through one time and as anyone who really studies the art knows you gotta listen multiple times to really absorb what is going on. So I too hope I come back and disagree with my first stance… We’ll see…

I hate on the Summer On Smash cause I can’t stand Swizz Beats. Nas’s lyrics about girls are dope, I love the concept of the song, but executed over the Swizz style sounds absolutely horrible to my ears. I am sure it’ll be popular though.

Ok, I had to go and download the leak, and I’m feeling it! @Dayz, if the R&B vibe bothers you than I can see why you wouldn’t be feeling this that much. I kinda dig that vibe on this record though, the Mary J. Blige track especially. The only track that I thought was a throw away was “Summer on Smash.” I like how personal Nas got with the lyrics this go round. I have to listen to this a few more times to make sure I’m not getting overly excited about it, but for me this is definitely Nas’s best since “Stillmatic.”

@Model Citizen no doubt I will go back and listen to it again several times this weekend and I will get in the zone to properly give it a spin. Like I said I liked it I just wasn’t wildin’ out listening to it.
