Directed, Edited, Special Effects & Concept by Necro. From the Murder Murder Kill Kill EP, hitting July 31st.
I don’t know why you are hating. At least Necro has a vocabulary that varies and a knowledge in various subjects. While this may not be his best work, I don’t see why everybody here is shitting on him when he is saying more interesting things than most of your favorite rappers. I’m not even feeling this track that much compared to his other joints, but still is killing over 90 percent of the hip hop I’m hearing nowadays.
I have a lot of respect for Necro as a sick producer, a semi-genius marketer of his damn near impossible to market brand, his unwavering allegiance to doing what the fuck he wants to musically with no fear of what anyone else thinks of it and such. But this….this is horrifying. Yes, as one astute commenter pointed out, it is far too reminiscent of that ICP video abortion to be taken seriously on this side of the computer screen. But, I can’t stress how dope a producer he is.
“a semi-genius marketer of his damn near impossible to market brand” @Skins, haha very true. I agree that Necro has always been a sick producer. I know there is some sort of tension or something between him and his brother these days but Ill Bill is especially dope over Necro production.
Yeah, Bill fuckin murders Necro beats, almost unfairly so. Whatever their tension may be, them being family makes it definite they’ll be rocking together again, hopefully soon. Can you imagine what Ill Bill could have done to that ‘Huzzah’ beat? Just the thought literally gives me the “holy fuck that was ridiculously dope” goosebumps. According to a bunch of tweets (I hate the term ‘tweets’, I really do, but its the source sadly) a lil bit back Apathy is going to be fucking with some Necro beats on some upcoming projects, which is something I’m looking forward to, is long overdue and could be very dope.
@Skins, Apathy over Necro production definitely sounds dope. The “Huzzah” beat was originally “Scumbags” with Goretex off of “Brutality Part 1,” although I gotta say I like eXquire’s version better. I wish Necro would do more outside production, he seems to be hoarding all of his beats for himself and Mr. Hyde lately, and I’m not particularly fond of either of them as emcees. I’m glad to hear him and Ap are working though.
