Hav’s latest single – out now on Itunes – gets a video. There was speculation that this cut was aimed at Prodigy when it dropped, but we aren’t buying that….
Well he brings up people writing books snitchin’ and lyin’ so that could be taken as a diss towards Prodigy. THe fact that P came with a solo LP and Hav with his EP and that they haven’t really been seen in puvblic makes for the possibility there is instability in the camp… Dunno really know dunn… Anyways is it me or as Prodigy gets worse and worse every song Havoc seems to get better with his flow and word play?
The title of the song kind of neatly sums up how I’ve felt about Mobb solo efforts of the past few years. Hav has definitely passed P in the rhymes department, making me wonder if Prodigy went to Cappadonna’s ‘School of Forgetting How to Rhyme’ at some point. That said, despite some of the questionable lines here, the whole “hacked” twitter prodigy-is-gay incident, they both still say “Mobb for life” alot, so who knows. After 20+ years recording/performing together I can see it being easy to not want to be around one another unless it’s for a show, etc. Could go either way really.

The Cappadonna school of forgetting how to rhyme! Lol! Prodigy graduated with honors!
Given that this is actually solid, it blows every recent Mobb Deep related venture out of the water. @Dayz and Skins, I agree, Hav is a far better emcee than P these days. The only thing Prodigy has done lately that I liked was his verse on “Dump Truck” off of the last Gangreene record.
