Second single from Ruby Hornet’s Closed Sessions Vol. 2, produced by Thelonious Martin.
As always I enjoy an Action Bronson track. I have noticed his subject matter, certain words, flows and structure for verses is starting to get recycled at an alarming rate. I hope he hasn’t peaked creatively already!?! Anyone else notice this???
@Dayz, I’ve noticed that lately too to some extent. I don’t have so much of a problem with the subject matter being similar from track to track because for the most part, Bronson lyrics are stream of conscious kind of rhymes. His flow has gotten less dense since “Dr. Lector,” even a little lazy (by Action Bronson standards) from time to time. All of his projects have been very dope, but so far that album is his best material. I think part of the problem is that he puts out so much material between his own shit and features that the quality is bound to suffer eventually. A lot of artists fall into that trap these days now that we’re living in the mixtape era. All of that being said, Action Bronson is still one my favorite current emcees and this track is nice.
