Ill Adrenaline Records is back with another dope release. Purpose, founding member of the group Tragic Allies, teams up with extraordinary producer Confidence of Rashad & Confidence fame to bring you the first single off the forthcoming full length “The Purpose of Confidence”. “Vision of Excellence” features none other than Queensbridge legend Cormega along with Tragic Allies member Estee Nack.
While Purpose and Confidence come from different backgrounds, the sounds they put together can only capture the essence of pure hip-hop. Purpose’s flow, delivery and lyrics will have you engaged from start to finish. Confidence also delivers on the boards as usual – hard-hitting and soulful sample based beats. Listeners will be in for a nice surprise as these two artists help shape the landscape of hip-hop and keep that authentic music pumping through your veins.
Confidence is an underrated producer. Oh, and all three emcees killed the beat, this shit is fire.
Love the Funky Technician cover
Confidence is an incredible producer. This song is no exception. He has that classic Hip Hop sound down to a tee. The Rashad & Confidence The Element of Surprise LP is one of my favorite LPs in years. Definitely buy ASAP if you don’t have it.
@Dayz, yeah, “The Element of Surprise,” is a dope record, especially production wise. I like Rashad as an emcee, but sometimes he ventures to far into cliche underground emcee territory.
@Model Citizen I hear ya on the subject matter but yeah the production was so solid start to finish I can overlook that. That LP is a perfect example of how artists create Hip Hop that sounds fresh yet stays true to form.
