Busta Rhymes releases his new solo album for FREE, via Google Play on Young Money/Cash Money Records. Guest shots from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane, Camron, Maino, Robin Thicke, and more.
Busta Rhymes “Year Of The Dragon” (Mixtape)
I was going to download it but then I realized their was no song with Justin Bieber on it…very lame.
I was thinking about giving this a try but the features on the tracklist is suspect: Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane & Camron. This is a very NO BUENO look for Busta. I’m not gonna talk bad about Maino and Bobin Thicke.
He should have had Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Sean Price, Raekwon, anyone from Slaughterhouse, Eminem or something like that.
I did listen to it, and it’s as wack as you think. A bad album is never free: I can’t get my 10 minutes back.
I have downloaded it today and listening to it as I write this, it’s not too bad, obviously not Bustas best work.
The production quality is very good, the beats are all solid, his rapping is good, the features are ok, not garbage just not relevant to the Busta legacy.
If this album was not free it be as good as any of his recent stuff. The fact that it is free makes it easily dismissible. I’m not complaining he is giving away his hard work for free, ats cool with me.
I think we expect too much from the 90s rappers and are infinitely disappointed if every track is not woo hah or can’t touch this or produced by J dilla or anything fresh for our ears.
Overall above average rating I’d give it.
Oh god the track ‘my life is a movie’ just came on, I feel sick! Such trash!
