Today, Pharoahe Monch released the third and final installment to his bullet trilogy. “Damage” hauntingly speaks to audiences in the same dark personification of a bullet Pharoahe first introduced in the seminal song “Stray Bullet” with his group Organized Konfusion via the Stress: The Extinction Agenda album. The second installment came via his 2007 album Desire on the Mr. Porter- produced “When The Gun Draws”. Socially prophetic and politically relevant, “Damage” chronicles the tragedy of inner city killings and mass murder. Although it was penned before the Dark Knight theater massacre, the song relevantly accentuates the obvious ongoing gun issue. “Damage” provides a chilling reminder that bullets have no name.

“Damage”, produced by Lee Stone, is the first look from Pharoahe’s soon to be released project PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This new project released through Pharoahe’s label, W.A.R. Media and again in partnership with DuckDown Music, follows the successful release of his 2011 third solo album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades). PTSD is a severe anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to any event that results in psychological trauma. Pharoahe Monch narrates this album through the experience of an independent artist weary from the war against the industry machine and through the struggle of the black male experience in America.
