While Halloween nightlife is usually ripe with creative (and sometimes just plain revealing) costumes, our favorite of the year goes to “Low End Theory Girl”, a physical manifestation of the iconic A Tribe Called Quest covergirl, as captured by Gas Lamp Killer’s Instagram account. The photo was taken in Los Angeles last night, at the Low End Theory party of the same name, which featured both Gaslamp Killer and DJ Shadow on decks.
Some Liars says: Maybe this Gaslamp Killer guy should stop claiming that a) he took this picture (he didn’t, that’s my hand in the right hand side of the photo) and b) that it happened at his party in LA (it was in Brooklyn). Is his party so lame that he needs to pretend something happened there that didn’t?
yup says: Yeah it was at the Commondore in Brooklyn. What a sucker.
Low end theory girl says: That’s me in the picture and I wasn’t aware that a Halloween party in bushwick was actually in LA. If so, I would like to know how the hell I flew to Cali, partied and flew back to NY in time to go to work at 6am
I also don’t remember the guy who took this picture having Long curly hair and a mustache.
