KRS-One opens up about comments he made soon after 9/11 to The New Yorker magazine, when he was asked “Is there anything hip-hop can do to help fight the war on terror?” He reveals that while the magazine quoted him as saying “We cheered when 9/11 happened,” his words were taken out of context. KRS-One also talks about today’s hip-hop, battle rapping and paying homage to the rap greats.
