Brood Baby presents “Lesson of the Day” a new web series featuring hip-hop history lessons and personal rap stories from legendary hip-hop artist & journalist, R.A. The Rugged Man.
Episode 02 analyzes the rap culture of the early 90s and its obsession with violent lyrics and threats directed at the most hated group of the time: bootleggers.
R.A. covers groups like Onyx, Brand Nubian, Y’all So Stupid, himself, Biggie / Puff Daddy, The Hoodratz, and showcases a few rare clips from 2pac and M.O.P. making threats to bootleggers on the streets of NYC.
