Yawn… This was lame, sorry… Mos Def (I refuse to acknowledge this new moniker) has really fallen off. I was a huge fan of his and want to like all of his material but the past decade or so he has released very few songs that I actually enjoyed or would play more than once… Like Prodigy he ranks up as one of the greats that totally fell from grace… Sad.

Wow, that’s disappointing. @Dayz, I agree with your synopsis of Mos Def’s career, I had high hopes for this though because I’ve always been a fan of Mannie Fresh’s production (yes, the Big Tymers were a huge guilty pleasure for me). Mannie fell flat here too though. It would be nice if Mos would actually rap once in a while.

I kinda like it, took a good few rotations to conclude that tho!

Death of a Black Star. How can this be that dude that co-crafted a masterpiece back in 98? I guess I’m stuck in the past because I can’t get with this noise.

Holy crap! When this song started I came up with an amazing idea: a mos def Christmas album!
