Whoa. Jay-Z has announced his new album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail“, via Samsung Galaxy. The press release states: “Be among the first million to download the app on June 24th and get the album free July 4th, three days before the rest of the world.”

Which means the album will be released July 7th to the commonfolk / iPhone users.

“We don’t have any rules. Everyone is trying to figure it out. That’s why the internet is like the wild west. The wild wild west. We need to write the new rules,” says Jay in the clip below, in regards to the album’s unconventional release method.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen images of Jay in the studio with each Kanye West, Timbaland, Raekwon, Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, Nas, Drake, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled, all of whom may be collaborators on the project. We have reposted these photos for your convenience.

Big fan of Jay-Z. some of these beats playing while do soundpretty fresh, However, this I think Jay-Z deserves even better. Still good beats though. Except tha tlast one sounded like some wack rehashed Neptunes shit. Jay-Z has set the bar high for himself. I wish he’d let Rick Rubin produce a bunch of tracks like 99 problems. That’s just me though.
