DJ Shadow hasn’t released a great album since Private Press.
DJ Shadow claims he wants a middle ground. Here is a good piece of advice for Shadow. If you want to do this other shit that sounds like a completely different genre from your old digging stuff, then come up with a new project for what. So fans that like the lame hyphy stuff, they can buy that project from another alias. Just change his name for the other types of music. The sad part about Shadow is that he was a complete master of sampling and making complete masterpieces. Once he stopped doing that, he unfortunately isn’t that great. Sometimes people have their thing. Just like how somebody who is good at punk, might not be good at metal. I mean if people dig him now, cool for them, but you can tell most people don’t.
