Cage prepares for his return to the scene with the release of “The Hunt”, the first song from his upcoming album Kill The Architect which will hit stores on October 22nd. The album also marks the return of longtime NYC indy label Eastern Conference Records, the imprint with which Cage worked to release a number of albums including his critically acclaimed debut Movies For The Blind. The project also finds long time collaborator and Eastern Conference head Mighty Mi back behind the boards for the majority of the project.

This kind of reminds me of Leak Bros. shit. I’m not blown away by this track, but it’s cool enough that I’m interested to check for Cage’s shit again, I had pretty much written him off after “Depart From Me.” God that record was bad.

I would not call “Depart From Me” bad. Certainly it is no Hells Winter or MFTB but there are a few bangers on there, Kick Rocks is the jam. It was just very different from his previous albums and he won over a lot of new fans with it. With that being said I do hope he goes back to his roots and creates another hip hop classic. Can’t wait to here it.

@Beatsbumpin, to each their own, I wasn’t feeling that record at all though. I really hope this record is good, I still bump old Cage shit relatively frequently.
