Tom, I’m gonna have to agree to disagree with you. I didn’t like “Recovery.” I actually liked “Relapse” better than that album and and it wasn’t very good either.

    Agreed Tom.
Eminem has never fallen off. I think his fans have grown up more than anything.
Recovery has some of his finest work. Relapse is like new coke many thought a flop but it laid the groundwork for the amazing Recovery.
I have high expectations for MMLP2 and judging from ‘survivor’ and ‘bezerk’ things are looking good.

Agree with those that say some of Em’s best work was on Recovery. While the production was big and didn’t have the traditional Hip Hop sound the quality of the music cannot be denied. Also he is 40 years old, he grew up and so did his loyal fans since day one. I don’t need him to rap about killing his baby mama, chopping up people with chainsaws, etc… I got all the old LPs for that. I appreciate where he is and involving Rick Rubin, hopefully his influence will be heard through out the LP. The Beastie Boys (my favorite group growing up and my idols) throwback is very welcomed in my world. I really look forward to the LP. I really hope he surprises us and has the long overdue, and rumored, DJ Premier produced track on here!

@Dayz, I don’t need him to be off the wall, that wasn’t the issue with “Recovery.” The problems for me were the terrible beats and the overuse of his double time flow. The lyrical content was the ONLY thing about that record I liked. Em’s whole style seems confused now, from his beat selection, to his punchlines, to his flow. That’s just my opinion. I hope he proves me wrong but I’m skeptical.
