    This was type kony but can we give it up to the Roots for being on this ish? Nobody could have made me believe that they would be on like this in 93′ (when I was sneaking into they show) I can’t think of a more legitimate example of credible & successfull collective.

    @yung, it has been a fascinating transition for them. Quest is clearly a very intelligent dude, but I feel weird when they’re on the show doing something so commercial or with someone they wouldn’t work with in a million years, it feels so awkward and money-grabbing. I was never a fan of most of their work outside of the stuff headed by Dilla, but I wished Black would’ve struck out for dolo with an Illmatic-type production team and black on niggas at least one time.

    No doubt, black thought could easily be flexin on boyz. Idk, I guess that leaves the average head torn between knocking the hustle & salutations for finally getting over.
