While on the set of his new film, Brick Mansions, RZA spoke with Vlad TV about both of his upcoming Wu-Tang albums, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, the million dollar LP, and A Better Tomorrow, for mass consumption. He explains that he hasn’t really talked to Raekwon about participation on A Better Tomorrow, but suggests they may be in different places creatively.

I met Raekwon once at a meet and greet. He seemed like an asshole. Then when Steve-O did something to honor O.D.B. at some awards show. Raekwon was the only one to confront Steve-O backstage and be an asshole about it. I think it might just be that Raekwon is an asshole. :-P

This day in age and Rza and Rae can’t get in touch with each other?? Maybe once they sell that collector cd which will probably be equivalent to going platinum plus, maybe everybody can get all the so called money they deserve, put their differences aside and make some damn music together. Artists forget that it’s the die hard fans that helped put them on the map, the reason W’s are thrown up and Wu chanted at every throwback album opportunity. If they can’t come together to give the fans what we need, then we as fans are going to feel betrayed and left with a bitter taste in our mouths. Besides, they need to redeem themselves after 8 diagrams.

    Nice wubrotha.

They cannot call it a Wu-Tang Clan LP if Raekwon is not a part of it staight up. They should just scrap the whole idea if he won’t participate.
