In honor of what would have Big L’s 40th birthday, Complex presents a newly discovered clip of Big L and Big Pun freestyling in 1998, along with some studio footage of Big L and Ron Browz in the studio in the second clip. Both clips are provided by Jewlz of Danger Zone Filmz, the mastermind behind the upcoming documentary, Street Struck: The Big L Story, which has been in production since 2009. You can see the trailer for that down bottom.

This Big L doc has been sitting around for way too long. I wonder if it will ever get released.

Also, I guess there is the controversial debate if that would be considered a freestyle since all their homies knew all the lyrics they were saying. Thoughts?
