I like Andre, I like Outkast, however Ms. Etchingham makes a pretty compelling case against the film, claiming its lack of authenticity.

Andre 3000′s long-awaited Jimi Hendrix biopic, All Is By My Side, will finally hit theaters this August, according to IMDB. Take a look at the John Ridley directed clip below, which shows the first reveal of Mr. Benjamin playing Mr. Hendrix.

Coachella won’t be the only time that Big Boi and Andre 3000 will perform together this year, as the duo plans a 40-date international tour in celebration of their 20th anniversary together. The official press release reads as follows:

Ingenious and iconic recording artists and performers, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and André “3000″ Benjamin today announced via Outkast’s newly launched social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and www.Oukast.com that their return to the stage for their 20th anniversary will include festival dates around the world. After headlining Coachella this April, the influential group will be the marquee act at over 40 festivals around the world throughout the Spring/Summer of 2014 (dates to be announced).

In January 2014, to celebrate Outkast’s 20th anniversary, the duo confirmed plans for a headlining festival run that will begin Friday, April 11 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, then continue with dates throughout the spring and summer.

Strong rumors suggest Outkast will reunite at this year’s Coachella fest, for the first time since their split in 2007, Billboard reports. While no official announcement has been made, Billboard says multiple sources have confirmed the rumor, suggesting that the performance would be the beginnings of a multi-show tour for the group. Reps for Outkast, Epic Records, and Coachella have offered “No Comment” to the rumor.

As previously reported, Jay-Z was signed on as music supervisor for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, and the just revealed tracklist shows an interesting mix of collaborators. The soundtrack will feature a new track by Jay called “100$ Bill”, a remake of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black” by Beyonce and Andre 3000, as well as additional new music from will.i.am, Fergie, Q-Tip, Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine, Gotye, Jack White, Sia, Nero, Lana Del Rey, and many more. Well, the Outkast reunion might not be happening anytime soon, but Big Boi’s taking it upon himself to remix Andre 3000′s recent collabos with Frank Ocean and T.I. Here’s the Outkast remix of “Pink Matter”.

“Some days I feel like I’ll do it, some days I don’t. Some days I feel like I don’t need to, some days I feel like I want to do it before I die. So, I don’t know where to fall. I am just hoping one day I get that inspiration,” he said at an event for Gillette’s eMO’gency Styler Tour, reports the Washington Post.

“It’s a feeling for me. Like, I can’t just throw out an album to be rapping,” he said. “And I don’t even know if it will be rap. I don’t even know what it will be,” said Andre. “It could be a rush situation. Like if I feel that feeling and I record an album in three days and I’m like, ‘This is what I want to say right now’ — that can happen, too.”

“I write all the time. … I actually stopped typing it in my phone because like a cloud is basically reading every thought that I have and I don’t like that,” he said. “So I went back to my paper and started writing.”

“Man, we’ve had a great ride. … Like when we got into it when we were high school kids and we just wanted to do something fun and push it, and if it’s not that then why do it?” he said.

“I’m not the type that prescribes to nostalgia, and most people say they want an OutKast album because they used to love it. Y’all don’t even know if y’all still love it. You just know you used to love it. But you may not like it now, who knows?”
