From the streets of New York City comes the BQE ( Bronx Queens Experience) connect of Meyhem Lauren and legendary Bronx DITC producer extraordinaire Buckwild. On their new LP Silk Pyramids, out today on Thrice Records, the duo get there Batman and Robin on over 13 tracks of fire, featuring appearances with frequent rap collaborators/homies Action Bronson and AG The Coronor, as well as Queens cohort and former Das Racist Heems, Brooklyn’s Troy Ave and RetcH amongst others. Meyhem Lauren & Buckwild today premiere the first track off their up coming album Silk Pyramids “Silk Shirts & Yellow Gold”. The album drops May 27th on Thrice Records, and marks the first national release for Meyhem who previously released countless street projects to critical acclaim. The entire album is produced by multi-platinum producer Buckwild of D.I.T.C.

Straight from The Bronx comes the trio, The Legion (Chucky Smash, Molecules and Cee-Low). As signees to Black Sheep’s One Love imprint, they debuted in 1993 with the brilliant underground classic, “Jingle Jangle” – an ill piano sample driven track with a highly quotable finishing verse from Dres of Black Sheep. The trio are back on the scene and the Buckwild produced “Stereo” is the lead single from The Lost Tapes which is a musical documentation of a group that has been staying in its lane creating raw, uncut, and uncompromising Bronx flavor for more than two decades. This 20-track strong album includes the rare 12″ single only “Freestyle Demolition” from 1994, rare old and unavailable on CD tracks, unreleased joints and instrumentals plus 3 brand new bangers. The Lost Tapes hits stores May 20.

Outdoorsmen representative Meyhem Lauren will team with D.I.T.C. producer Buckwild for the follow-up to his last solo effort, Mandatory Brunch Meetings (which might be the greatest album title of all time), with Silk Pyramids. Boasting guest shots from Action Bronson, AG Da Coroner, Troy Ave, RetcH, Hologram, Thirstin Howl III and Heems, the project is due May 27th at retail.
