DMV Hip Hop pioneer Asheru releases a new visual for his track “Funky DC.” The Chop N Shoot Films directed video was filmed live at DC’s Funk Parade. “Funky DC” includes cameos from Ballou High School’s world renown Majestic Marching Knights. Many may recognize Asheru as the voice behind the theme song for Adult Swim’s The Boondocks.or as 1/2 of the legendary DC rap duo Unspoken Heard. “Funky DC” can be found on Asheru’s South Africa inspired solo album Sleepless in Soweto.
