Harry Fraud has signed The Kid Daytona to his Surf School imprint. He tells us: “Daytona and I were always part of the same circle of peers and I’ve worked with him in the past. I’ve always appreciated him as an artist and respected him as a person. When Surf School became a reality he was one of the first artists I immediately reached out to. Daytona is a no brainer for me. He’s potential as an artist is limitless and our sounds compliment each other.”

“Damier Suitcases” is the 3rd leak off The Kid Daytona’s forthcoming album entitled Savoir Faire. It features legendary member of the Wu-Tang Clan Raekwon. Enjoy as the two mc’s kick classic street tales over smooth production from French beatsmiths 1up World. Savoir Faire is scheduled for an October 29th release.

“I teamed up SPACE MONKEYS (SPMK) clothing brand, and the iconic DJ CUT KILLER, to create a legendary freestyle medley – “CLASSIC SHIT”, in promotion of my highly anticipated new project – SAVOIR FAIRE. Cut Killer is one of the most famous hip-hop dj’s in France and Europe. For 15 years, his radio show “Cut Killer Show” has been on Skyrock Radio.. Skyrock Radio is the biggest radio station in France. Being a hip-hop aficionado, Cut Killer linked up with me and created a dope medley for the freestyle, which is a tribute to some of the most legendary French-international rappers/emcees such as Fabe, Les Little, Alliance Ethnik, Akhenaton/IAM, and NTM. Just some more lyrical gems and debonaire flows to enjoy.. Peace yall!”

With me headed back to France, I felt inspired to kick a few bars over Picasso Baby.. The whole fly art talk that Jay was displaying on the track, bought me back to my visit to Le Louvre. And all the images that I would see in text books, and magazines.. I was now seeing in person. Who’d have thought a kid from the South Bronx would be able to see other parts of the world, doing something that he loves and believes in.. And always dreamed of. Rap Music! Enjoy yall.

The Kid Daytona hit the midwest for some shows – Chicago, bloomington, and Ohio. While on the tour in December, he met DJ/Producer and tastemaker – Dj Ozone, and the two discussed working on some music. Daytona has always had deep roots and love in the Chicago area, and has always felt a bond with the talent coming from the Midwest – from KNAWLEDGE, CHUCK ENGLISH, YP, CHANCE THE RAPPER, GLC, BROADWAY, ILL BROWN, and others. The fruits of that experience spawned forth Daytona’s latest project “Runnin With The Bulls”. Riding the wave from his latest video “Low” Daytona is back with another dope visual /freestyle over Nas’ “No Idea’s Original. This visual was shot in San Juan Puerto Rico and shows once again why the buzz, “The Kid Daytona” has garnered over the last couple of months is much warranted. With two new projects on deck in the next couple of months “Lost Luggage” & “Taxi Cab Confessions with Travis McCoy” as well as his 1st appearance on BET’s Hip-Hop Award Cypher on October 9th. Daytona takes aim at his rightful place as one of NY’s brightest rising stars.
