In a story we’ve been reporting on since July, AnimationOnFox gives us a sneak peak of the season premiere of The Cleveland Show, entitled “Menace II Secret Society”, which will feature each ?uestlove, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Will.I.Am as members of the hip-hop illuminati.

SCIENCE announced today that it is taking viewers further inside NASA’s latest mission to Mars with the exclusive world premiere of i.am.mars: Reach For The Stars on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 10 PM ET/PT. The special documents the artistic and technical process behind “Reach for the Stars (Mars Edition)”, a new song by will.i.am that became the first song ever to be broadcast from another planet to Earth.

In what is being hailed as “the most complex Mars mission to date,” NASA’s Curiosity spacecraft successfully landed on the Red Planet on August 6, 2012. Since then the Curiosity rover has returned stunning photographs and valuable information about the Martian surface that is helping scientists determine if it had or still has the ability to support life.

Recently, Curiosity also returned will.i.am’s new song “Reach for the Stars (Mars Edition)” as–for the first time in history–recorded music was broadcast from a planet to Earth. i.am.mars: Reach For The Stars profiles will.i.am’s passion for science and his belief in inspiring the next generation of scientists through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) education.

i.am.mars: Reach For The Stars also gives viewers a window into his creative process throughout the making of “Reach For The Stars (Mars Edition)”, as well as the recording of the song with multiple children’s choirs and orchestral players. In addition, viewers also go inside the engineering challenges NASA faced in uploading the song to Curiosity, and the hard work required to make the historic 350 million mile interplanetary broadcast a reality.

“Between MARS LANDING 2012 and i.am.mars: Reach For The Stars, SCIENCE is consumed with the bold exploration of the Red Planet,” said Debbie Myers, general manager and executive vice president of SCIENCE. “We hope our viewers are as inspired as we are by the creativity, imagination and daring of both will.i.am and NASA.”

i.am.mars: Reach For The Stars will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how this incredible artistic and technological achievement happened, thanks to the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) skills and expertise needed to send a song to, and back from Mars. The greater mission of ‘Reach For The Stars (Mars Edition)’ song is to inspire young people to dream, and to understand that through STEAM knowledge and hard work, their dreams can come true.

In a forthcoming, previously announced episode of Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show, entitled Menace II Secret Society, each Kanye West, ?uestlove, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, and will.i.am will team to form “The Hip-Hop Illuminati”.

The above image was revealed this week at the San Diego Comic Con, in a concept that originally began last summer. “We have an episode where Kanye and will.i.am, playing himself, and Nicki Minaj, playing herself, and Bruno Mars, playing himself, and ?uestlove—they’re all part of the rap Illuminati, the secret group that controls pop culture,” said voice actor Mike Henry.

Executive producer Rich Appel further elaborates, “Cleveland inadvertently breaks into it and then it’s how he will either bring them down or they’ll bring him down,” he said. “We have a couple of original songs with Kanye and will and Bruno, I mean, all of them, it was great.”

The new season of “The Cleveland Show” begins October 7 on Fox.

In a recent interview with Billboard, French super-producer and house music auteur David Guetta revealed a very high-profile guest list for his August 29th release, Nothing But The Beat. A double album, the record will consist of one disc of vocal tracks, the second disc of instrumental tracks. The vocal disc will include the previously released singles “Where Them Girls At” (feat. Flo-Rida + Nicki Minaj) and “Little Bad Girl” (feat. Taio Cruz + Ludacris), as well as new collaborations with Akon, Will.I.Am, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown. Guetta also mentioned a remix of Snoop Dogg’s “Wet”, to which he laments “This year there’s this record with Snoop — ‘Sweat’ — and I made this remix and I think this is the best remix of my life. So maybe let’s go for a third Grammy.”

Will.I.Am announced via Twitter yesterday that the world’s largest computer chip manufacturer, Intel, has named him creative director in a multi-year agreement.

“Its official. I just became the director of creative innovation for Intel. Every beat I make is made with intel. And now were partners,”

He will help the company develop smart phones, tablets, and laptops, as well as contribute music to the company.

“It’s imperative that Intel and our innovations are kept in front of the global youth culture that embraces new devices and new forms of communication and entertainment,” said Deborah Conrad, Intel’s head of marketing.

In a recent interview with The Age, U2 frontman, Bono, revealed that a recent accident – which almost left him paralyzed – sent the group into production overtime, working on three different LP’s. The first of these albums, to be released next year, will be produced by Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton.

“We have about 12 songs with him,” Bono said. “At the moment that looks like the album we will put out next because it’s just happening so easily.”

Meanwhile, they are also working on a “club” record with producers David Guetta, Will.I.Am, and Red One, as well as an album centered around the 20 songs the band has written for the Spider-Man Broadway musical.
