The Yancey Boys’ album Sunset Blvd is in stores now via Delicious Vinyl. The album, entirely produced by the late J. Dilla, also featured close collaborators Common, De La Soul’s Posdnuos, T3 of Slum Village, Guilty Simpson, Talib Kweli, J. Rocc and others. “Sunset Blvd” was built around previously unheard tracks from J. Dilla and was compiled by Illa J, Dilla’s brother and close friend, Frank Nitt. Although “Sunset Blvd” was released in October, 2013 here is the brand new video today for the song “Lovin U” featuring Eric Roberson.

The dynamic new collection is built around previously unheard tracks created by Illa J’s brother: the late, great J Dilla (James Yancey). With Frank Nitt’s standing as J Dilla Music Catalog Curator and the official approval of Yancey Media Group, all productions on Sunset Blvd originate from The Lost Scrolls — the stunning cache of beats Dilla left behind. The Yancey Boys’ (Frank Nitt & Illa J) Sunset Blvd album will be released next week on Tuesday, October 29th via Delicious Vinyl. The album is entirely produced by the late, J. Dilla, after a group of unheard beat tapes were discovered, never heard by the general public and used to help craft the album spearheaded by both Frank Nitt and Illa J. The album features guest appearances from Common, Talib Kweli, Posdnuos of De La Soul, Guilty Simpson, J. Rocc and others.
